MEET THE PRESENTERS

Ervin, Wes
Wes Ervin, Ph.D., earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Art History and South Asian Studies from the University of Chicago. He has lived in India and has travelled widely in Asia, Iran, and Europe. He has studied Hindi, Urdu, Farsi and ancient Sanskrit. He has lectured at US universities and conferences in Europe. He is currently serving as a Docent at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach.

Feeney, Robert
Robert Feeney is currently Assistant to Special Collections at FAU’s S.E. Wimberly Library. His passion for history has taken him to 17 different countries and to experience such adventures as visiting headhunting tribes in Amazonian Ecuador, excavating dinosaurs in the American West, and retracing the steps of Lawrence of Arabia in modern day Egypt, Palestine, and Jordan. He has worked as a SCUBA diving instructor, high school history teacher, and professional archaeologist. He is a member of the famed Explorer’s Club of New York.

Feinberg, Rose
Rose Feinberg, Ed.D., earned her doctoral degree in education from Boston University. She was a school principal in Massachusetts, as well as a respected lecturer. Feinberg served as an adjunct faculty member at FAU for eight years, teaching graduate courses in curriculum and school administration. She is a well-known lecturer in South Florida and has developed many topics for presentations, which include PowerPoint presentations with pictures and videos. Her lectures are extensively researched and her theater training and personality make her a dynamic presenter.

Feinman, Ronald
Ronald Feinman, Ph.D., has been a professor of American history, government and politics for the past five decades, and an adjunct professor of history and political science at Florida Atlantic University since 1989. He earned a doctoral degree from City University of NY (CUNY). He is the author of two books, including a recent one titled "Presidential Assassinations and Threats"; a book reviewer for scholarly journals; a regular contributor to the History News Network (HNN); a regular public affairs contributor to WWGH 107.1 FM, Marion, Ohio; and a member of the FAU Speakers Bureau; and has given lectures to many diverse groups over the past 20 years.

Fenichel, Emily A.
Emily A. Fenichel, Ph.D is an Associate Professor of Art History at Florida Atlantic University who earned her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on the art of the Italian Renaissance, specifically the religious of art of Michelangelo Buonarroti, on which she has published and lectured extensively. Her forthcoming book, Michelangelo’s Art of Devotion in the Age of Reform (Cambridge, 2023) considers the artist’s late religious works against the backdrop of Counter-Reformation Rome.

Flatow, Sheryl
Sheryl Flatow has written about theater and dance for more than 35 years. She curated major exhibitions in San Francisco on Stephen Sondheim, Richard Rodgers, George Gershwin, George Balanchine, and others. She has also conducted public interviews with leading figures in the arts, including James Lapine, Patti LuPone, Sheldon Harnick, Natalia Makarova, and Estelle Parsons. In addition, Flatow wrote the CD liner notes for "Into the Woods" and "Jerome Robbins' Broadway."
