MEET THE PRESENTERS
Sika Dagbovie-Mullins, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the Department of English at FAU where she specializes in contemporary African American Literature and Critical Mixed-Race Studies. She is the author of Crossing B(l)ack: Mixed-Race Identity in Modern American Fiction and Culture (University of Tennessee Press, 2013) and co-editor of Mixed-Race Superheroes (Rutgers University Press, 2021). Her articles have appeared in journals such as African American Review, The Journal of Popular Culture, and Palimpsest: A Journal on Women, Gender, and the Black International.
Lenny Dave is a nationally recognized comedy historian, speaker, author and humorist. He informs and entertains a wide variety of active senior, synagogue, and civic audiences, and he’s been doing so for more than 30 years! Dave is the only speaker to have performed in both the Red Skelton Entertainment Series and at the Oliver Hardy Festival. As a student of comedy and a professional practitioner of humor, Dave’s highly interactive programs focus on the funny people who have made us laugh for decades. In performing successful surgery on the human spirit, Dave invites his audience to recall and relive so many happy memories of a time when the best comedy was funny… and clean! A two-time "Speaker of the Year" nominee, Dave is co-author of "Infinite Inspirations" and "Let Your Leadership Speak." His credentials also include a two-year term as (international) president of the Association for Applied & Therapeutic Humor.
David Posnack Jewish Community Center
The David Posnack Jewish Community Center opened its doors in the town of Davie in 1988. Dedicated in 1989, the Mania Nudel Holocaust Learning Center, was established to provide Holocaust education to the community upon the 1988 opening of the David Posnack JCC in Davie. The MNHLC was named and dedicated to the memory of Holocaust survivor Mania Nudel, mother of Dr. Jack Nudel, our first benefactor. The JCC, along with the Jewish Federation’s Office of Jewish Education, created a space to teach and research the history that led to and included the greatest catastrophic event of the 20th century.
Nicholas DeAngelis is a bright and dedicated technology professional. As one of GroovyTek's foremost Florida Technology Trainers, he is an expert at taking the pain out of personal technology. Trained to CompTia A+ certificate standards, he can accurately diagnose and resolve a wide swathe of issues on computers, cellphones and tablets. Teaching is his passion, and he loves to see the ways in which technology can improve the lives of people of all ages.
Dr. Michael A. DeDonno received his MA and Ph.D. in psychology from Case Western Reserve University. He also has an MBA in Finance from Baldwin Wallace University. As a cognitive psychologist, Dr. DeDonno has worked with the US military in optimizing soldiers’ cognitive performance. He has worked with behavioral hospitals in exploring thought patterns of individuals with severe mental illness. Dr. DeDonno is an Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University where he teaches research methodology and statistics. He has a primary appointment in the College of Education and a secondary appointment in the College of Medicine. He is also an Affiliate Faculty member in the College of Nursing, and adjunct faculty in the College of Business. In 2017, Dr. DeDonno was the recipient of the Florida Atlantic University College of Education, Distinguished Teacher of the Year award. In 2019, he was the recipient of the Florida Atlantic University College of Education, Assistant Professor Researcher of the Year award.

Pablo del Real, M.A. is a mindfulness teacher and community organizer. He serves as lead teacher with The Way Mindfulness Education, a provider of mental wellbeing. Pablo is also the founder of Soil & Soul, a nonprofit organization that teaches mindfulness and eco-healing.
