Course Description

Paris was the place where everyone wanted to be. It was a happening city that was inexpensive, totally unfettered, very exciting and host to a hotbed of great artistic experimentation. It was filled with ateliers for painters and sculptors, small jazz clubs, and treasure-filled art galleries. The Impressionists altered the tenets of art, and Picasso and Matisse flung open the doors to unique inventions. We may never experience a time as brilliant as this again.

  1. Monet and the Impressionists: Extraordinary Transformations
  2. Modigliani, Brancusi and Rodin: New Visions
  3. Chagall, Soutine, and Dali: All Dreamers
