Course DescriptionJoin Sophia Stone, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, and Pablo del Real, M.A. founder of The Way Mindfulness Education, for a conversation about the relevance of the ancient teachings of Socrates and Jesus. Socrates was revered for his humility and courage, and Jesus for his teaching and compassion. Could it be that these two lovers of wisdom teach the same thing? This program brings new perspectives to ancient teachings and explores research and myths about mindfulness. Attendees will leave with a greater appreciation of how mindfulness works and can be applied to everyday life to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Space is limited.
