Benjamin Joella, MM has been appointed as the associate executive director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida Atlantic University’s Boca Raton campus. Joella has been affiliated with lifelong learning on the Boca Raton campus for close to ten years, as the communications and technology associate, assistant and associate director, and most recently as the director. He has a bachelor’s of music from the University of Southern California and a master’s of music from Michigan State University.

“I am thrilled that Mr. Joella has accepted this appointment and is poised to continue our tradition of exceptional lifelong learning programming,” said Diane Alperin, senior advisor, FAU academic affairs.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute was initially established on the Boca Raton campus in 1980 and received an endowment from The Bernard Osher Foundation in 2017. With more than 27,000 patron registrations per year, it is a national model of exemplary lifelong learning. Joella has accepted the appointment and is poised to continue the tradition of exceptional lifelong learning programming.
