SPL04053 – The Comedy of Tim Conway
Instructor: Ira Epstein, Ph.D.
Tim Conway, whose show business career spanned nearly six decades, provided generations of viewers with the gift of timeless laughter. While he appeared in film and television, he is most famously known as a sketch comedian on “The Carol Burnett Show.” Although Conway rarely took center stage, he helped turn TV shows into classics by making everyone laugh. His fast wit, improvisational skills, and the unforgettable characters he created helped him win a Golden Globes Award, six Emmys, and induction into the Comedy Hall of Fame. This lecture will trace his development through the use of numerous audiovisual clips.
