Course Description
What makes us happy? Is happiness sustainable? Can we make ourselves happier? These questions have plagued humanity for centuries in our own "pursuit of happiness." Fortunately, groundbreaking studies in the field of positive psychology may offer some answers. Researchers from evolutionary psychology, neuroscience, social and cognitive psychology provide valuable lessons in how happiness works and how we can get more of it. There will be a historical look at perceptions of happiness in different eras and cultures, and research findings will be explored to help us understand happiness in modern society. Finally, Jones will offer suggestions on fostering happiness, and overall well-being with a few simple tricks.Course Info
