Course DescriptionFrom sea level rise to intense hurricanes, Florida is experiencing the effects of climate change. In this interactive session participants get a global perspective and also discover what a warming planet means, specifically for us here in Florida. Lichtenfeld will explore the latest information on the science and the solutions, some of which even surprise the experts. Participants come away understanding more about the climate crisis and what we can do to make a difference for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren.

About the Instructor
Holly Lichtenfeld has worked on sustainability, the environment and climate change issues for 20+ years. She served on the board of the Northern California Solar Energy Association and led marketing for a solar energy company that did high impact installations, including ones at Googleplex. She also co-founded CleanWell, a green chemistry company that replaces toxic disinfectants with safe alternatives. She currently works with companies, governments, and organizations in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and other areas that reverse climate change. She is a Climate Reality Leader who has been trained by former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Laureate, Al Gore, to educate the public about climate change.
