Course Description

Chair Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of yoga available. Students will be guided through postures and breathing exercises with the aid of a chair. You will experience the many benefits of yoga without having to get up or down from the floor. Just like a regular yoga practice, the benefits include; increased balance, strength, flexibility, range of motion, and stress reduction. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of water.

About the Instructor

  • Yoga Journey presents Chair Yoga with Ruth Sanders. Sanders started practicing Yoga in 1995, her love for how her practice changed her life in both mind and body made her want to share her passion. She teaches a variety of styles of Yoga, but the common thread throughout all her classes is adapting and modifying the practice for all students. From this desire to bring Yoga to all people, she began teaching Chair Yoga to people of all abilities. Sanders brings much knowledge and insight to her teaching, allowing her classes to be accessible to all levels with an emphasis on centering through breathwork.
