Join us for this 7th Annual Robert J. Bailyn Symposium on the First Amendment. The event is co-sponsored by the FAU Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, and the League of Women Voters, Palm Beach County. 

A panel discussion to follow facilitated by Dr. Kevin Wagner, FAU Department of Political Science Chair.

About the Instructor

  • Ana Navarro-Cárdenas is a Nicaraguan-born American Republican strategist and political commentator for various news outlets, including CNN, CNN en Español, ABC News, Telemundo, and The View. Navarro is a graduate of the University of Miami. In 1993, she obtained her bachelors degree in Latin American studies and political science. She obtained a Juris Doctorate in 1997. Navarro served as the national Hispanic co-chair for Governor Jon Huntsman’s 2012 campaign and the national co-chair of John McCain’s Hispanic Advisory Council in 2008, where she was also the national surrogate for the McCain 2008 campaign. She also served on Governor Jeb Bush’s transition team in 1998 and was his first director of immigration policy in the Executive Office of the Governor.
