Course DescriptionWellness is more than the absences of disease. It is living your best life and taking steps to embrace your maximal potential vitality. This panel discussion, with leading experts from the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, will deliver evidence-based strategies to promote comprehensive health. Strategies described include therapeutic lifestyle choices, such as diet, exercise and mindfulness, as well as chronic disease prevention, and screening for early detection of disease. Attendees will have the option to ask general questions of the panel, identifying steps to optimize health outcomes. After the presentation a discussion and time for general questions for the panel will follow.

About the Instructor
Parvathi Perumareddi, DO is an assistant professor in Family Medicine at the FAU Schmidt College of Medicine where she serves as a full-time faculty member teaching medical students. She is also the medical consultant for the Wellness Hub at FAU Primary Care Practice. Her medical interest is lifestyle modifications for health, exercise, nutrition, and stress reduction.
