Course DescriptionThe Middle Bridge Trio combines the worlds of European classical string playing and American fiddle music to create an intoxicating blend of concert hall and barn dance. About the Instructor
Valentin Mansurov is Palm Beach Symphony’s principal second violinist. Mansurov has won prizes and awards from multiple competitions and festivals in the former U.S.S.R, Canada, and the United States. He has performed in solo recitals and chamber music concerts throughout Europe, North America, and South America. In addition to his performances, both orchestral and chamber, with Palm Beach Symphony, Valentin serves as a principal second violinist is the orchestra of Florida Grand Opera. In 2015, he became a member of the critically acclaimed Delray String Quartet, performing in concerts nationwide. He began studying violin at the age of seven at Uspenskiy’s School for Musically Gifted Children in Uzbekistan and has pursued further college degrees in Turkey, France, Canada, and the United States.
Marina Lenau is a section first violin of the Palm Beach Symphony. A Ukrainian-born American violinist, Lenau began performing internationally as a soloist and a member of various chamber groups at an early age. She has performed in concerts and recitals throughout the former Soviet Union, Europe and the United States, earned top prizes at numerous acclaimed International Competitions and was a featured soloist with orchestras in Europe as well as the United States. She holds a Doctor of Musical
Arts degree from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
A native of West Palm Beach, Jeff Adkins is a double bassist who thrives on connecting with audiences across musical genres. For the 2019/2020 concert season, Jeff can be seen performing as principal bass with Nu Deco Ensemble and as a core member of Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Symphony, and Palm Beach Opera. He has had the fortune of supporting a number of great artists including Gloria Estefan, Sir James Galway, Andrea Bocelli, Placido Domingo, Mario Cantone, Bernadette Peters, and The Platters. Jeff is Adjunct Professor of Double Bass at Florida Atlantic University and coaches young bassists throughout Palm Beach County. Jeff began his studies on double bass at age eight at Palm Beach Public School. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Lynn Conservatory of Music.
