Course Description

Join master coach and avid reader Minx Boren in an exploration of several inspiring and informative books that fall loosely under the category of “self-discovery” and/or “personal development.” Ms. Boren considers certain books to be both friends and wise teachers worthy of our attention and deep engagement. This class is participatory and, although no one will be called upon, joining in the conversation will be encouraged. No preparatory reading is necessary, although each book is definitely a good read. There will be brief handouts so that the writing of each author can be experienced. Each session will begin with an overview and summary of the book. A series of provocative questions and discussions about both the ideas presented and their relevance in our lives and the world at large will follow.
