Course DescriptionPainting is one of the most pleasurable activities we can perform. Just imagine yourself spontaneously reacting to shapes, colors, and light. The primary emphasis of this hands-on course will be on still-life painting and drawing in the medium of acrylic to acquire the basics of rendering, shading, and color mixing. There will be various activities to bring you to the act of creating a work of art, including some art historical references and demonstrations. Many of the secrets of painting will be revealed, but, most importantly, the emphasis will be on finding your own technique for expression. All paint and supplies will be provided, and all participants will receive their own apron as a gift from OLLI Boca.
