Course DescriptionArt has its own language with a vocabulary consisting of forms, motifs, colors and expressive content. Within the arts, there is a range of recognizable disciplines, and, in each category, we find unique artists with innovative brilliance that sets them apart from their peers. The famous French art historian Andre Malraux, wrote, "If a great artist's way of seeing is quite different than that of the ordinary man, the reason is that his power of sight has been educated, from its earliest days, by absorption of paintings and sculptures in the sophisticated world of art." Archival films and images will abound.
