Course Description

OLLI members and guests are cordially invited to explore University Libraries during a VIP Reception. Please join us on Friday, September 29, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. for an exclusive tour of S.E. Wimberly Library and light hors d'oeuvres.

During the interactive tour, you will have a chance to see 16th century manuscripts and materials from the founding fathers' libraries, part of the Weiner Spirit of America Collection; explore the Jaffe Center for Book Arts' unique collection of artists’ books; hear early 1900s records played on the antique Victrola phonograph at the Recorded Sound Archives, and experience one of the only Academic Library Artificial Intelligence Labs in the U.S.

OLLI Day at the Wimberly is a unique chance to see how University Libraries’ collections and programs can enrich your experience as an OLLI member. Serving the FAU community since 1962 and home to more than 3 million items, the University Libraries are a partner for student success, faculty research and community engagement. Located at the heart of Boca Raton campus, the S.E. Wimberly Library is a collaborative space that enables users to explore, educate, and create in their journey toward lifelong learning.

Wednesday, September 27th is the deadline for registration. Space is limited.
