Course Description
Play isn't always taken seriously and is usually relegated to children. Although there are many benefits for children when they play, play can often be a powerful tool for adults of all ages. In this course, we will explore the incredible benefits derived from play, review research on the benefits, and practice techniques that have been proven to be beneficial for people of all ages, including those with cognitive impairment. The course will encourage hands-on activities that will be informative and fun! So come play with us and get insights into the Power and Magic of Play. Space is limited.Course Info

About the Instructor

For close to 40 years, Ken Seiter has marketed and built some of the biggest brands in the food and toy industries. He has created successful programs for companies like Kraft, Unilever, Sara Lee, Mattel, Hasbro, LEGO and many others. Prior to his marketing endeavors, Ken has a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and taught emotionally handicapped and learning disabled children in New York. Play was a vital tool in his educational arsenal. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Bridgeport and for 10 years has been a Mentor for students at Baruch College. He is also college coach for Future 5, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping under resourced students in Stamford realize their full potential and achieve success.
