About the Instructor
Mr. Mogel is an internationally known lawyer and expert on energy regulation and policy. His experience includes advising electric, renewable, natural gas and LNG companies on a broad range of energy and environmental issues. As a partner in a Washington, DC law firm, Mr. Mogel was engaged in energy projects in the US, Asia, and Eastern Europe. A frequent speaker, he also has served as an adjunct law professor at American University, and the University of Tulsa. Mr. Mogel is the author/editor of 16 law books, nearly 30 law review articles and founder of the Energy Law Journal. His writings have been cited twice by the US Supreme Court, and by several appellate courts. In recognition of his more than 25 years of service to the energy bar, a summer internship with the US Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee was established in Mr. Mogel's name. He is a cum laude graduate of Hobart College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a former Trustee at his Alma Mater.
